Currently, informing businesses of a loved one’s death is a slow, disjointed and highly repetitive process that has to be performed at an incredibly difficult time. Families must search desks, cupboards, and drawers to discover what accounts exist and then spend hours filling in online forms or having the same conversation over and over.

Life Ledger changes that and helps families to find the space to focus on grieving instead of admin.

Three years in the planning and launched at the end of 2020, Life Ledger allows families to contact all of the businesses connected with the deceased from a single point, removing the need to have the same difficult conversation over and over with different people and different businesses.

Life Ledger currently sends notifications to 100’s of UK companies across sectors ranging from banks, insurance and pension providers to gas, water, electricity, telecoms, television, store cards and social media.

This service is, and always will be, free-to-use for families. To help ensure this we charge professionals (solicitors, probate firms etc) to use the service to manage notifications on behalf of their clients.

Life Ledger have partnered with global environmental charity One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every death registered on our platform. We are proud to play a small part in helping them restore vital habitat across the planet, work that saw them plant 15 million trees in 2020.
